happy mid-autumn festival!

on the ever familiar way home tonight, i walked past the playground and was instantly taken aback by the presence of life there! the playground was packed with little children and their families, enjoying themselves under the trees branching out with brightly-lit lanterns! the kids were running around with their paper laterns, and the more affluent ones with their battery operated ones, and others were just trying to light up the rows of candles.

i remember when i was young, back when that same playground was entirely different. the slides and rides were all hard and cold and where the soft rubber is, there was sand, sand and sand. year after year, Mom will bring my siblings and I down to join the crowd on this very day. we used to compete with candles! whoever lights up the most in a straight rows wins. and the laterns! whose laterns can survive for the longest? and of course the silly things we do - burning the fallen leaves with the flame from our candles. and those were the days.

i miss the good old days. days when everytime in life was so carefree. days when the things our decisions and our actions mattered so much lesser. days when we can just spread our arms out and feel the breeze brushing past our faces, while standing amidst laughter and joy from the equally happy friends.

mid-autumn festival's a nice day to reminisce about the good old days! we got to move on no matter how much we yearn to linger on, but it's such memories that keep the smiles in our hearts going.

MAF in hall last night was good too! had a jolly good time with the dee-blockers and other hallmates in the quadrangle! the little walkabout with our pretty lanterns was good too! for once in the long and dreaded week, everything seemed to fit well together for me! mid-term tests over, AGM over and my last schooling day of the week! though tired from the soccer training and prepwork, i enjoyed myself thoroughly! thanks for the company too! HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL! (:

it's the end of the week and i'm finally happily home. (: tuition just now was kinda bad. the two classes were separated into the i-finished-my-exams-and-so-can-relax group and the i-am-still-having-my-exams group and i got the latter. which was very very bad cause they happened to be all the naughtiest kids from the two classes. my goodness. and i was on the verge of losing my patience with this boy who refuses to think! he just expects me to give him the answer as though i'll be there with him during his exams. my goodness. patience patience patience.

the haze is really becoming an issue. i couldn't even look across the field at SRC yesterday! hope that it does get better. (:

a random thought of the moment: every mooncake is 1000 calories.

and i like the round moon hanging high up in the sky. (:

HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL! (:
