just a quick update.
i made it through the first week of school! yeap, my first week is officially over because i do not have any lectures on thursday and friday!
an update on the modules i'm taking:
- Introduction to Psychology (yay-ness!)
- Introduction to Literary Studies
- South Asia : People, Culture & Development
- Introduction to Cultural Studies
- Government and Politics of Singapore
the Psychology lecture rocks totally! it's so interesting and captivating. haha. i think i'm just darn biased towards it. hey, i paid a lot of points for it can? i'm officially a poor student because of that.
the Eng Lit lecture was interesting too! and we have a total of FOUR books to read. i'm quite interested in two of them and i can't wait! oooh yes! i cleared my QET! haha. (:
the South Asia one was bad. haha. i don't understand the lecturer at all! and i kept dozing off. oh no i feel so guilty. i need to like, read up on what i didn't catch. i do hope the lectures will get better!
the Cultural Studies one was good! it's a seminar style lecture and our subjects are so interesting! we analysed the culture behind comic strips today and the two lecturers are so funny! (:
lastly, the Singapore Politics one. haha. this is so not my field! took it simply because a) it's cheap! i got it for 1 point and b) i need to fulfill the SS aspects. but it turned out better than expected! hopefully i can pull my socks up in my political knowledge! (:
in conclusion, the lectures are good so far! and it's very very nice to see people along the corridors! especially people from Ramica, Rolling, Ricola, Rooom Rooom, arts camp, odac camp, hall, secondary school, JC and new friends! (: i'm just extremely tired from the bustling activities and little things we have to settle, like purchasing textbooks and stuff. can't wait to get a good rest tomorrow! (:
gawd. i'm so drained. but i need to wait for my laundry to be done. ): okay i'll share this blessing from my siblings-in-Christ in TH. (:
