finally an update.the past ten days were just a few of those "wake-up-buzz-around-and-concuss" days. weekdays were spent buzzing around in school and weekends on catching up with my mates. ):
my recall of everything that took place in the past few days. (:
1. cycled with the girls at ECP and unfortunately it rained! ): consolation was the good time spent chatting over my sugarcane and coconut juices while our bicycles got drenched. and dinner with Bao at the HK Cafe was thumbs up! (: check out that place ya? it's in East Coast and they serve great food! do check out the toast and the main courses! give dessert a miss though. get the address from me if you're interested.
Bao is silly. accept it. :P
2. falling sick in that "North Pole" staff room. it's so freaking cold in there can? while it was so hot and humid outside, the temperature difference was really bad. 3/4 of the Maths express teachers fell sick on that day itself. ): nursed my illness and ended up with a croak instead of a voice for the next few days. i'm perfectly fine now, but somehow my voice hasn't returned completely. ): oh wells. at least i'm fine! (:
3. last unit training till the exams end! (: no more hectic Wednesdays at least for a few weeks. (:
our usual dinner-after-training. check out her hair! (:
4. the meet-up with Wei Wei and Michelle on Thursday! to celebrate Wei Wei's birthday over dinner at NYDC. (: catching up, while scaring ourselves with issues we've never thought about before. and we wonder, why people say they don't want to grow up. i don't want to either. ): desert was good with a mudpie and Godiva chocs! (:

5. conducted NAPFA test for the kids. the entire school (teachers + non-teaching staff) was mobilised! took the inclined pull-ups station. YES. the station that i detest the most. haha. why can't they just let us hang there? that's besides the point. the point i want to made is, the kids were so cute when they were trying to best to get a good grade! (: it's nice to see them with their serious side.
6. dinner out with the girls at Holland V. shopped around with Veronica while waiting for Lay Joan to arrive. and we succumbed to the temptation of FOS after we met again! retail therapy! (: dinner at Brew was good. thanks best for the beautiful frame! (:

7. Saturday was NPDP duty! Sugar remembers me! okay, for the uninformed, he's the in-charge from their side and i worked with him when i was Duty IC last year. as to why he's called Sugar, it's another issue altogether and i'll give that a miss. hee. anyways, he remembers me! he was really someone who i enjoyed working with. a genuinely nice person who cares about this people! (: duty was TIRING. ): i was stuck in the dark base for so long that i didn't know if it was night or day! and there was an astonishing number of casualties. bad weather's the cause of it all. i've never been so tired after a duty can? i think i'm really getting old. old bag of bones. ):
8. tcc-ed after that with my batchies, qL and Angeline! everyone else was there also and the entire CR outlet was filled with our people. it was so noisy and some groups actually left because of that! and the staff didn't look very happy with the change of seats, scattered orders and broken glasses! totally understandable can? and it was quite embarrassing actually. ):
9. Saturday was the Dean's Tea Party! saw a few familiar faces there! a few college mates got accepted into Psychology also while a few others were in Sociology and English. after talking to the professors, things aren't as blurry as before. the degree offered there actually sounds pretty good! but i guess it's still a long way before i can make up my mind! (:
10. attended the JJ party after that! forked out money from my own savings to buy tickets to the concert in June. i'm sponsoring my sister! that's over 200 bucks can? nevertheless, i'm a happy happy girl! we had really good seats for the party, which could be perfect if the two

11. dropped my phone on Monday! ): Dad got me the flowerly 7370 some weeks ago and i'm still very much in love with it! (: after that slight knock, my number 4 button on the keypad died. ): and i had to drag myself down to Nokia Care in Suntec to get it repaired. and had to drag myself back yesterday to collect it. ): the perk of the day was yet another retail therapy with Veronica and Bao. we meant to utilise Bao's Nike vouchers but it turned out that there were so many things we couldn't buy! which included that World Cup polo tee. but still, we each got a shirt! (:
pretty eventful ten days. the kids' exams are starting next Thursday! and i can't help but feel more stressful than them! i had my fair share of stress as a student and now i'm feeling stress as a teacher. my goodness. ): rushing to complete the syllabus, doing revision and fretting over their results. oh dear. i hope i've been a good enough teacher for them! i'm really really worried. ): days are really tiring but at least there's the satisfaction gathered from seeing the kids learning. they really take all the faitgue away, even though they're most likely the cause of it. yet again, the irony of life strikes.
NIE interview tomorrow. was called down for it even though their degree programme was my third and fourth choices? i have totally no idea what to expect out of it. ): wish me luck!
