of start and rest.
the service yesterday was amazing! Pastor Prince touched on the topic on rest, which was totally apt for me. as i told Marie sometime back, i haven't had a true holiday in ages. perhaps ever since i stepped into college. i haven't exactly been working really hard until like recently, but i've been bogged down by so many events and activities. sure, the sense of satisfaction is there but really, i'm tired. and he said, "Learn to say no." and i think i will. i think what was most amazing was the beautiful link - me having just completed yet another phase of my life and having a time of rest now and the topic of rest.
man was created on the sixth day and God rested on the seventh. which means the start of man was a time of rest. Saturday was the first day i stepped into this world some eighteen years ago. and it was the first day that i can rest finally after the major exams. the start and the rest. it's just too amazing. (:
"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength." -Isaiah 30:15
