7. TPJC Paper 2
8. 56 newspaper cuttings

yikes. i'm left with 3 AQs. so effectively i'm 75% done with my Paper 2s. but still. i hate AQs!

i'm so stressed. really. for the very first time in my years in AJC i'm starting to feel real stress. how do you differentiate between what's real and what's not anyway? back to the point, i'm really stressed. and i have no freaking idea why. i'm not even using the computer as much! the only times i use it is to type out GP stuff or to get onto IVLE and download stuff. and this entry is here because i decided that the cobwebs here were too much. argh.

i think it's the teachers. and the career talks. firstly the teachers. tuesday was like prep talk day? Mrs Tan chided us on not handing in our work. Mr Soh gave us a relaxing interaction time but one that made us think. Mdm Tay was in her usual serious self and she gave us this talk on the A levels format and everything. and it's really scary.

and all those career talks. SMU, NUS, NTU. grades, good grades, excellent grades. people constantly waking you up by telling you it's no longer early and it's time to start.

and work is piling up real high. how do you start on revision when we're still on our tutorials?

how do you survive?

argh. i need a place other than my pimples to let out stress.

this is the only thing i can find consolation in. from the MOE talk. enjoy. (:

The Starfish Story

There was a young man walking down a deserted beach just before dawn. In the distance he saw a frail old man. As he approached the old man, he saw him picking up stranded starfish and throwing them back into the sea. The young man gazed in wonder as the old man again and again threw the small starfish from the sand to the water. He asked, "Old man, why do you spend so much energy doing what seems to be a waste of time." The old man explained that the stranded starfish would die if left in the morning sun. "But there must be thousands of beaches and millions of starfish!" exclaimed the young man. "How can you make a difference?" The old man looked at the small starfish in his hand and as he threw it to the safety of the sea, he said, "It makes a difference to this one!"
