two badly burnt after minivan catches fire in AMK accident.
that happened just opposite block 11. we were in the midst of our Chemistry tutorial when someone in the class just went "there's an accident". being kay-pohs, the entire class rushed out to the corridor to watch what was going on. Joan thought Mr Soh was still writing on the board so she called for him to join us but guess what? he was already in front of us, standing in the positon that offered the best view. lol. talk about teachers being leading examples. X:
anyways, i think all the classes that were having tutorials in block 11 was watching. it was quite a sight. the entire level 3 corridor was filled with AJCians. haha.
so poor thing. the car was in flames when we first saw in. blazing flames. really big fire. and there were so many on-lookers! think some helpful ones got fire extinguishers and tried to help. but the fire was just too big. after that, we were all shoo-ed back to the class. and after like 5 minutes, we heard the siren of the Civil Defence people. not that efficient huh? but still, they managed to put out the flames 'cause when the bell rang, we all ran out to watch again and the car was no longer in flames. thank God.
the dark green car was so charred that it looked half green half black. paramedics were running about with stretchers and i saw this casualty being put on the stretcher. then there was the Channel NewsAsia van with the reporters and cameraman. they arrived at the scene earlier than the fire-fighters!
the scene was a sight to behold. the charred cars, the helpless onlookers, the fire-fighters, the paramedics, the police and the media. and of course the kay-poh AJCians.
the men and the women suffered pretty bad burns. hope they'll get well. (:
life is so unpredictable.
oh! i saw this green car! it's in the shade of the AMKSS uniform. lol. caught it when i was on my way home. and it came to my mind that if i wear my AMKSS uniform and drive that car, i'll be hidden! okay, maybe not. my body will be hidden. and others can only see my head! haha.
