blood donation drive! (:
everything looked so scary in the morning! boxes and boxes of unknown stuff, beds, nurses and doctors. it looked just like a makeshift hospital during times of war. scary thought.
the donors started streaming in at 9! there was so many people! donors, people to accompany them and people who simply wanted to peep. lol. everything was quite chaotic at first. but thank God my dear classmates of 12/04 helped JiaXin and me out. thanks dearies! (: Joan and Siyun wanted to be the first to donate. lol. (:
more and more people came. (: the response was really good. initially i thought that very little J2s wanted to donate 'cause there was only like a few forms from them. little did i know that some didn't need consent forms! lol. so there was more J2s who donated. (:
then it was my turn to donate! i was like so scared? my friends know that i always freak out during injections. lol. but i plucked up my courage. lol. the blood test was super painful? i was close to screaming then. lol. so embarrassing. the donating part was okay 'cause i couldn't really feel anything, thank God for that. but the embarrassing part came after the donation. when i was resting on the bed, i turned very pale according to the nurse. but i felt okay so they dismissed the idea of checking on me. but after that, i just felt like i suddenly couldn't hear anything and my vision was blurred. and i was close to blacking out. so the nurses hurried and elevated my legs to improve the blood flow. turned out that my blood pressure suddenly plunged to very low. so scary! i felt better after lying down so i proceeded to maths tutorial. but during the lesson, i felt faint again so i laid my head down on the table to rest. but i started to have difficulty hearing and seeing again and accorsing to Jillian, i was very pale again. so i requested to go to the sick bay to rest. but along the way, when Veron was holding onto me, i almost blacked out again. really almost. i was just on the floor until the doctor came up. i think i freaked Mr Tan Shun Loong out. lol. but again, after lying down, i felt okay. the doctor made me go down to the station and drink more milo. lol. so embarrassing! and it was so scary! the feeling of having almost fainted was way too scary. the bluured vision and the diffuculty in hearing. ): i have no idea why my blood pressure was so low. i took my breakfast and i had my rest. weird. but anyway, thanks to my classmates and friends who helped me! (:
enough about that. after school, the crowd came in again. the place was like overcrowded? but i'm glad the response was good. once again, thank God the club had the help of alot of people in the admin side.
blood buddy! (: he's really welcomed by everyone. lol. and everyone wanted to punch him. so cute. lol. i'll post pictures of it soon.
the entire thing ended at around 1630 hours with 200 donors and 146 successful ones!(:
