prom is officially over.... it went past in a blink of the eye... time really flies when we're having fun...
started preparing for it at around 4, but in the end my make-up was still done in a rush... had actually wanted to let down my hair, but sis made an impromptu decision to do my hair in another way... & i loved it!! i seriously think that she can be a hairstylist next time... hastily put on my make-up & rushed to the cab....
it was a sight at the hotel! everyone was dressed to the nines... the 4/1 girls were all dressed nicely & i really liked weiqi & xueli's hairdo.. very nice... ningzi, dap, jess, jacsee, xiaoying & xinyin were dressed nicely too! dap looked really nice with those big curls... & mingtiong was dressed in a tux!!! he looked really really good.. lol
we found out that we can take photos & make glitter tattoos for free! to think that i went down to taka on sunday just to make that tattoo for 4 bucks... but i guess it's worth it... it's this silhouette of a girl dancing & it was done in 2 shades of purple to go with my purple contacts! we went to have our photos taken & we had to pose in the most awkward ways.... have to go down to their shop to collect the photos....
the dinner wasn't as great as we expected it to be... i still don't like the idea of a buffet dinner when we're all nicely dressed up & then we have to queue for the food... & surprisingly, the food was kind of bad =X well, it's a posh hotel & you would expect the food to turn out great right?
what's more, the programme that was lined up for us was rather boring... i had wanted the title of Mr & Ms Personality to go to edmund/mingtiong & ningzi respectively, but in the end it went to edric & peiwen.. oh well... but what i really enjoyed was the dancing part... learnt a few moves from natasha [she's a great dancer!] & joined in the others.... we went around taking photos too!! that is what we've been doing for the past year... on racial harmony day, we were snapping away... on the farewell assembly, all of us had our cams out too... & not forgetting the last day of school, when we even stayed back just to take photos! no wonder my zip disk no longer has enough space for all the photos...
walked to some building to play pool after everything was over, & my legs were aching!!!! makes me wonder how am i ever gonna survive the working society where i have to wear heels everyday...
made our way to erin's house after that... had maggie mee to fill up our empty stomachs [so much for $55]... attempted to watch vcds, but we all fell asleep... lol
anyway, it was a rather great day as it was the last chance to be together with some of our schoolmates.. especially when most of us are going our different ways... when they brought up the fact that our secondary school life has ended, i was shocked... yes, i was shocked... i guess i'm still in that "it's-just-another-dec-holiday-before-school-reopens".... school will be reopening, but we won't be going back to amkss anymore... kind of sad just thinking about that....
but i guess i've got enough photos to remind me of how wonderful my secondary school life was!
