hallo!nono i'm not dead. neither was i away on a hiatus. it just happened that i was REALLY busy and my last entry stopped there. (:
some updates from the camps i've been too! was sick for an entire week after arts camp. see how much damage was done from all the shouting and jumping around. managed to pick myself up in time to celebrate Veron and Bao's birthdays! (: Veron's big day was spent in this posh restaurant in Gallery Hotel and Bao's 21st was spent in Chevrons chalet! hope they both enjoyed the celebrations as much as i did! (:
odac camp was up next and it was fun fun fun! Veron, Ariana and me were in the same group and our group names is (please don't laugh) Carebears! simpy because our OGL thinks they're cute. can you imagine how hard it is to cheer with that name? my goodness. and i thought Ricola was bad. met up with the two girls and Yiling and made our way down to Macritchie. embarrassing new: we were the first ones to reach! haha. think we were to kiasu and met way too early. a ton of admin stuff was done and we were split into our groups. first thing was SP - again. turned out that the camps are sponsored by SDU and thus we have all the SP and speed dating stuff. my nick was Fann Wong (so not! i think her legs are longer than the whole of me) and my SP was Christopher Lee. haha. i was so amused. a walk around Macritchie was next and it was pretty enjoyable! a few games with silly incidents, like Dingyan's rendition of spa services. headed to the West and we trekked in this old abandoned railway! omg. it was pretty disturbing. it's a real railway track and we walked along it. and the way was muddy, slippery, full of thorns and such. there was this tunnel where it was totally dark and my sandals just sank in, like totally. after the long long walk, we ended up at this totally cool place.
day 2. woke up to a bright and sunny day! went rock climbing in the morning! the rock wall for Carebears was lousy. ): we had so little footholds! and i couldn't make it up. ): still kinda scared of heights! but the rest were so good! people like Meishi and Ariana! the food quest around Bedok food centre was funny. haha. but i did enjoy the chilling session at BK before that! we're such slackers. headed to East Coast Park after that and after more slacking and attempts to hold on to our tents, we had our outdoor cooking! it was complete with nuggets, chicken meat, green peas (yucks) and cocktail! (: and we bidded for 10 oranges. haha. and night cycling was FUN! we cycled all around and it was good. the other sucky thing was the smelly helmets. (: the night was spent in East Coast Park in our trust tent again! (:
woke up at four in the morning when Veron asked me to go pick up our towels cause it was raining. when i stepped out, i was chilled to the bones by the strong gust of wind. and our towels were gone. ): it started to rain and we had to wash up and take breakfast in the strong wind. headed down to Pulau Ubin after that. our day there started with cycling and i swear that the bicycles in Ubin are much better! had our trek next and it was so tiring. my goodness. the burden of the day was lightened by the senseless singing of the bears, the totally ugly "screwed up" speedwalk with Peiyun and the nice chats with the rest. (: the campfire was pretty good! it was blazing. and our Ms ODAC, Dingyan aka Daisy, was so funny! (: the Carebears stayed up to play the polar bear game which was totally hilarious. we were all falling asleep so Meishi made us dance everytime we say something. and we looked STUPID. it was a good end to a long day. (:
day four day four. travelled back to the main island and headed for Kallang Sea Sports Centre! built sandcastles and ours was magnificant! we had like pyraminds and castles! (: and kayaking was great fun. Veron and I have totally zero sense of directions. lol. and i was so burnt. ): ended the camp with a series of prize presentation and the Carebears headed to Carls Jr for dinner! Dingyan is king of iced tea man. Peiyun, this is proof of his claim over iced tea!
all in all, odac camp was fun! (:
arts oweek pre-camp was next. many of us got in as freshie councillors and we're really glad! our house is now called Rolling and my OG's Rooom-Rooom! (: the pre-camp was fun, although we were perpetually late and always taking our own sweet time. haha. Rolling rocks! i love the people, i love the councillors and i love the house I/Cs! as Chonghan said, we're "Rolling - more than a house, more like a family". (: and times spent with the family are always the best.
rag rag rag was next. helped out with cosutmes and a little of soft tech. it's quite fun actually! though it's really tiring. (:
and thursday was spent singing with the Ricola peeps! a cheap deal at some ulu Chinatown place. 10 bucks for five hours, with free flow of drinks! and dinner was good! went "land-searching" with the rest and we ended up in OG. how auntie we are. haha. it was a good day! (:
friday. QET. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i'm so worried right now. i didn't even know what i was writing! ): i really want to clear it cause i want to try English Lit! oh dear. sighs. my screwed up GP grade. i'm so depressed. ): i really hope i'll pass it. pray for me! -keeping fingers crosssed- went to Ikea and Queensway with the Ricola girls and Christie to destress after that. retail therapy always works! sigh. but i'm still worried worried. results are out on 2nd August. i'm WORRIED. ):
