updates.
haven't been really updating this place in ages! i've been buzzing around so much ever since the trip overseas! finally having some time to update and upload SOME photos of the truckload that i have.
my Taiwan and Hongkong trip! i have like 700+ photos. and only like 10 with me. was trying to take artistic shots lar. but they turned out not too bad! i specially loved the shots from the plane. i'm so lucky can! got the window seat three times! out of the four flights i took. (: the trip was pretty great overall! bought like lots of accesories. clothes was out of the question cause it's winter and the clothes there in the two countries were like thick? a major no-no for Singapore. although i was seriously considering cutting off the sleeves of some long-sleeved tops. haha. and i finally got my Keroppi! (: and Mom bought like lots of food. and i bought a bottle of absolute vodka from duty-free! (: in all, Hongkong was like 500 times better than Taiwan. i wished i spent 7 days in HK instead of Taiwan. ): but still, a nice getaway! (:
prom prom prom. theme was Mardi Gras and it was held at Meritus Mandarin. the food wasn't fantastic. and the emcee was horrid. but we gotta give some praises to the organising committee for planning such a great event while juggling their prelims and A's! (: and i guess it's the company that matters, ain't it? went over to the post-prom party at Rav with Veron, Lay Joan and Boo. Bao was there too! the sight on the dancefloor was amazing. i've never seen my friends from college in that manner before! it's like stepping into a different world altogether. all was well until this idert guy kept trying to rub himself against me and Lay Joan. and he STANK! so horrifying lar! went off to Jalan Kayu for supper with them again, while getting stares from the other customers there. what;s wrong with wearing prom clothes for supper? headed over to Lay Joan's place after that. and we were so tired that we just died on her bed after washing up. great night, although legs were aching after prancing around in those heels of mine for hours. (:
ULP! pretty great camp! enriching. and fulfilling. the Bukit Timah hike and the 11km walk to Macritchie from there was the best! and the footdrill session with the other VIs. (: and helping out in the kitchen with my batchmates. really brought back the memories of the good ol' days. and my group! A3 with co-mentor Stephen. wished i had spent more time with them! if only my overseas trip has not clashed. but still, i'm glad that they've learnt so much! although they may be the group that didn't perform well, but i'm happy cause i can say that they may be the group that has learnt the most. glad that they picked themselves up and glad that my little Link Cadets are growing up to become Unit Leaders. (:
had a impromptu overnight stay at Joan's place on Friday. Yingsheng brought along his collection of liquor and we bought chips! drank a few cups and chatted till the morning. enjoyed the chat! (:
met up with my girls too! original plan was go Rasa Sayang for dinner, so we met at AMK! in our shorts and slippers. lol. but in the end, Audrey denied that she wanted to go Rasa Sayang! so we ended up in Pizza Hut. and to Mos Burger for a drink after that. haven't seen them in ages! and it was nice to have a long chat with them. (: and we're having a steamboat session too! at Marie's place. (:
VIP campfire! as usual, we played delivery man for the trainers stuck in campsite. and i so love my reindeer hairband! (: the campfire wasn't as high as we expected but it was fun! enjoyed all the silly songs we sang and all the chatting! and it's a new batch of VIs! we're getting older. ):
my camera died on me! it officially died after prom! ): i think it has got to do with the different voltage in Taiwan! and i was like charging my batteries everyday there. sad. ): i need a new camera! Christmas present anyone? :P
and yeaps, i got a job. like finally finally. it's at TCC. had my first day of work today! and the people there were so nice! Shinghwee works there too! thank God for that! at least there's somebody i know. (: and today wasn't too bad! pretty excited about learning more things and hopefully someday i can learn to make the brews! (:

and somehow, i feel that my wings are clipped. i feel as though i'm able to fly, but yet when i try to take off, i fall off anyway.
was it supposed to be this way? i seriously wonder.
