anyone who had watched the NKF show yesterday would probably agree with me that at one part of the show, their eyes teared. you know how they show short videos of the NKF patients, how they struggled with life to make ends meet and have to go for dialysis?

in one of the videos on yesterday's show, this lady was shown. her husband and children have somehow abandoned her and she lives by herself in a 1-room flat. she has difficulty even in opening the lock to her door just because her eyes are not functioning well. also, she's in quite a financial difficulty. she's just pawned her only valuable left, and that is her wedding ring. even after that, all she has left is around 20 dollars to last her through for the rest of the days. in order to save money, she would separate a packed lunch into 2 to last her for both lunch and dinner. at times, she only have porridge and soy sauce. and above all that, she has to go for dialysis three times a week.

frankly speaking, i really teared when i was watching it. it's so paining to see how this poor lady is suffering. it is already been unfair to her to be down with kidney failure. what's more, her family are letting her go. imagine yourself in her shoes. life is such a struggle for her.

what's the use of getting people to donate and donate when all they do is to pay only part of their patients' dialysis fees? what about their welfare? don't they care about how their living conditions are? and don't they even offer to help the patients who are really in need to at least have 3 proper meals a day?

i guess that after yesterday, some people would have reached out to help her. i hope so. the video really touched me. :] but just allow me to lament. i feel so unjust for the lady.
