i love my Day 4 committee! =]
i guess that i wouldn't have made it through the camp without them. they really motivated me. shall blog more about the past few days.
stayed over at royce's house on friday night. me, fiona, yu ching & him had a "1-night stand". lol. we were at HQ till around 2230 when we realised that we really couldn't finish our proposal. so we went home, packed & rushed over to royce's house. stayed up till quite late to finish it. but it was actually quite nice to be around & talking to them. sally and yuhui couldn't make it, so it was only the 4 of us. and we woke up late too! was almost late for the camp.
day 1 of the camp was pretty bad 'cause of the rain. the outdoor cooking had to be done indoors & boy the scene was chaotic. the OA didn't tell ziting exactly what they wanted to do & we were so helpless with the chickens & flour. then the rice took too long to cook & we cooked too much. there was alot of running about & stuff like that. and after lights out, we were faced with a shortage of food for breakfast. so the f&b had to stay up to cook. we only slept for like 1 hour? was so shagged.
had a rescue mission in pulau ubin in day 2. it started off well initially. it was just walking & walking until we reached our endpoint. that was when all the crisis took place and we had to take charge of "casualties". there was unpitching of tents, packing, scolding and more scolding. then we had to evacuate the "casualties" back to our starting point. along the way, some people really fell, so in the end we had to evacuate them back. it was quite tough. there's wasn't much guys around so we had to take turns at the stretcher. but i guess it was quite a good experience.
day 3 was pretty relaxed as a whole. there was just a mock parade, some games & the campfire. the campfire rocks! =] it was great fun. my group was quite enthu & so was everyone else. enjoyed mixing with the others. but i was like so embarrassed. had to dance with one of my groupmates for our group performance. goodness.
day 4. i was damn shagged in the early morning. wasn't feeling very well but it was my committee's day & i thought that i really had to hold on. my committee members encouraged me on & i guess i did it. managed to pull myself up. walked to ECP, had some games there & then back again. i must say that our committee was a success! no hang ups or anything. =]
it's amazing how close the few of us are considering the fact that we met the first time on 7th of march. it's been only 1 week plus. they're great people!
didn't pass the evacuation accreditation. i'm seriously wondering if i'll pass the entire course. hai.
